Fresno Business Journal: "Local Startup Builder Awards Owner Of ITs 500th Home"

Lisa Walker • August 16, 2016

Jose Sanchez and Claudia Ochoa, with their sons Rafael and Jacob, have moved into San Joaquin Valley Homes 500th home.

Visalia-based San Joaquin Valley Homes is celebrating two milestones this month — three years in business and 500 homes sold.

SJV Homes 500th home was a 1,574 square-foot, four bedroom home in the new Savannah community in Tulare. Homeowner Jose Sanchez was presented with a check for $500 and a $500 gift card to Lowes, which also donated a barbecue grill.

“I was expecting to walk in and pick up my keys, then I find out I’m the 500th buyer and they want to do something special for me,” Sanchez said. “I was excited. I’ve never won anything before. I’m thinking, this must be my lucky day!”

SJV Homes has seven neighborhoods open for sale in the Central Valley, with two new communities scheduled to open soon — Pine River Estates in Visalia and Viscera in Dinuba.

“In just three years, San Joaquin Valley Homes has contributed valuable stock to the Central Valley housing market, which has seen very strong new home construction and sales,” said co-founder Jim Robinson. “Most of our team members grew up in the Central Valley, and we look forward to many more years of working in a region that we love and call home ourselves.”
