The California Central Valley, from the Cascade mountains in the north to the Tehachapi range in the south, contains about 75% of California’s irrigated land and produces about 40% of the nation’s fruits, nuts, and other table foods. It also is an area growing in residential housing.

Two new developments by local Central Valley builder San Joaquin Valley Homes(SJV Homes), funded by its long-time partner Presidio Residential Capital, recently had its grand openings. Vista Robles, a 40-acre community, offering 138 single-story detached homes in Dinuba and Cambria, a new neighborhood with 80 single-family detached garden homes on 15 acres in northwest Porterville.

Vista Robles offers six single-story floor plans ranging from 1,342 to 2,100 square feet with Mediterranean, Tuscan, and Craftsman exteriors. The three- and four-bedroom homes offer 7,600- to 11,000-square-foot homesites and spacious floorplans with two-car and three-car garages. Interiors feature open-styled great rooms with adjoining dining rooms, kitchens featuring center islands, and quality Whirlpool appliances. Spacious owner’s suites feature large walk-in closets and adjoining baths. Prices start in the $240,000s.

The community is surrounded by agricultural land and rural residential development. Located approximately 12 miles from Highway 99, the main regional transportation corridor, Vista Robles is about 30 miles southeast of Fresno and 37 miles northwest of Visalia.

The second development, Cambria, offers single-story homes ranging from 1,297 to 1,597-sq.ft., with open floorplans, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and two-car garages in Mediterranean, Tuscan, and traditionally styled exteriors. The community, built on former farmland, is surrounded by rural residential and agricultural properties. Prices start in the low $200,000s.

Located about two miles west of Highway 65 and 15 miles east of State Route 99, Porterville serves as a gateway to Sequoia National Forest, Giant Sequoia National Monument, and Kings Canyon National Park. Cambria is located less than two miles from the Riverwalk Marketplace.
