Summer Camps in the Central Valley

June 5, 2023

Nestled in the heart of California, our beautiful Central Valley offers a unique blend of natural beauty, diverse landscapes and an undeniably rich agricultural heritage. And because of these unique natural resources summer camps for kiddos are a little extra special and can provide memories to treasure for years. These Central Valley camps offer a range of activities that promote learning, personal growth and most importantly, fun!

Camp Kaboom

At Visalia’s Camp Kaboom hosted by the Visalia Parks and Recreation Department, campers spend their summer days making friends, creating and playing. Campers will enjoy traditional camp activities through weeks of crafts, games and much more including Friday field trips.

YMCA Camp Sequoia Lake

If your kids are adventurous enough to try sleepover camp or already love a good away-from-home camp, YMCA’s Camp Sequoia Lake is the place to go. For decades, this beautiful summer camp has offered all the traditional camp experiences from archery to camping to swimming to rope courses. There are a variety of options for most ages and some even include families.

YMCA Skate Camp

Budding Tony Hawks will love spending the week with like-minded skaters at the YMCA Skate Camp. Also located at Camp Sequoia Lake, skaters will shred a variety of skateparks and ramps for all levels nestled amongst beautiful Sequoia trees.

Local Sports Camps

Many sports organizations and facilities in the area offer summer day camps focused on specific sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball and swimming. Check with local sports clubs, community centers or schools for information on sports camps available during the summer.
