San Joaquin Valley Celebrates Closing of 5,000th Home

Local Valley Homebuilder Presents the Buyer with Check for $1,000 & Family Gifts to Celebrate the Occasion

VISALIA, Calif. – February 5, 2026 – San Joaquin Valley Homes (SJV Homes) has closed its 5,000th home in their 12th year of business. To recognize this milestone, SJV Homes is commemorating the occasion by presenting the family with a $1,000 check, along with gifts including a firepit, outdoor projector, leaf blower, a Lowe’s gift card, and toys for both children — all chosen specifically for them.

“It’s exciting to share this momentous event with the Reyes family, who recently closed on their new home at Montebella in Dinuba,” said Lana Fahoum, sales manager of the private home-building company based in Visalia. “It’s always an honor when families choose us to build their new family home.”

Luis and Karla Reyes are first-time homebuyers who credit the entire Montebella team at SJV Homes for making the homebuying process easy. The young couple had been searching for a home since early 2023 and found themselves waiting for a new build because they couldn’t find any existing homes they liked. During that time, Luis worked on advancing his career and income, they had a second child, and then began looking at new builds by San Joaquin Valley Homes.

“We knew that Montebella was the perfect community for us,” said Karla Reyes. “The park is a short walk from our home, and with two small children, it’s perfect.”

When asked about their favorite features of their Hawthorne plan, the couple shared their enthusiasm.

“For me, it’s the gorgeous kitchen with beautiful finishes and the open-style overlooking the great room,” says Karla. “My husband instantly gravitated to the backyard and patio area. Our kids love playing outdoors and we couldn’t be happier with the entire home.”

Reflecting on their overall experience, Karla added, “Evette and Jose really made the process smooth. We are also grateful for the assistance of our agent, DeeDee, and our lender, Cynthia.” The family plans to use the money to landscape the backyard and add a grassy area for their children to play.

The Reyes family was able to take advantage of a first-time homebuyer program that allowed them to purchase with no out-of-pocket costs.

“Our SJV Homes team works hard to find opportunities and programs that help buyers enter the new-home market,” said Fahoum. “We strive to build quality, affordable homes so our customers can grow their families and flourish.”

Founded in 2013, the company has grown steadily and is now one of the most active homebuilding operations in the Central Valley. They credit their employees and outstanding sub-contractors as the catalyst behind its success.

SJV Homes is a local central valley homebuilder currently selling new homes in 15 communities located in Delano, Dinuba, Hanford, Porterville, Sanger, Tulare, Visalia, and West Visalia, with four additional communities opening this summer. SJV Homes has repeatedly earned a place on the prestigious Builder 100 list, which is a ranking of the top homebuilders in the United States put out each year by Builder magazine.
