Autumn in the Central Valley region of California is a time for communities to come together, celebrating the bounties of the season, cultural diversity and the arts. Old Town Clovis Tailgate BBQ Throwdown. On November 11 join Grill Masters for its 3rd Annual Clovis Tailgate Barbecue Throwdown to compete against some of the Valley’s best BBQ competitors. Hang out with the family and enjoy some of the best food the Central Valley has to offer. Rain or shine the BBQ throwdown must go on! It will be held at Clovis Elks Lodge.


Madera Pomegranate, Fruit and Nut Festival. The 12th annual Madera Pomegranate, Fruit and Nut Festival on November 4 is free admission/free parking event. The festival is designed to display and promote the area’s grown pomegranates, fruits and nuts. This fun filled event features a day with pomegranate and nut products available to purchase from food and specialty retail vendors. Other highlights include live music, kids’ zone, food demos, craft and novelty vendors, car show and much more.

 

Sacramento Wine Festival, Carmichael. On November 11 at the Sacramento Wine Festival embark on a wine adventure, sampling local and international varietals that will delight the palate and transport you to the vineyards around the world! Uncover unique finds and support local artisans. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur, a food enthusiast or a music lover, this enchanting day promises an immersive sensory journey that will leave you with unforgettable memories. Cheers!

 

Fresno County Fall Harvest Wine Journey. Three times a year, the vintners and distillers of Fresno County host the Fresno County Fall Harvest Wine Journey, an event aimed to showcase the award-winning wines, beers and spirits grown and produced in Fresno County. During the wine journey weekend – Saturday, November 11, and Sunday, November 12 – attendees can visit and taste the 17 participating locations. Participating wineries will be celebrating fall with live music, local vendors and delicious food for purchase.

 

Elk Grove Dickens Street Faire. The Dickens Street Faire is the traditional start of the Elk Grove yuletide season. Held every year on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving, it is a wonderful and exciting experience to share with the whole family. See Santa get rescued by the fire department, stroll through Old Town, explore local shops, enjoy holiday music, craft, and vendor booths, eat delicious holiday foods and meet Christmas characters.

 

77th Candy Cane Parade. On November 27, floats and performers in downtown Visalia will transform Main Street into Candy Cane Lane. This year’s theme is Christmas around the World and the parade is a beloved South Valley tradition that has returned year after year for more than seven decades. Marching bands, floats and equestrian entries will follow the parade route on Main Street from Liberty to Conyer.
